WHERE: Whitehall Trail and Reservoir Park Trail, Southern Pines

PARKING: We will park at the Sandhills Community College (Einstein Lot),
3395 Airport Road, due to anticipated high demand for limited parking spaces at Reservoir Park’s main parking lot.  See below for parking info.

DIRECTIONS TO PARK:  Coming towards the SCC campus from either direction on Airport Road:

• · Turn onto College Circle

• · Turn right onto Earhardt Avenue & continue to the rear Einstein Lot

• · Park near the intersection of Earhardt Avenue and Wilbur Boulevard

• · Hike starts/ends here

DISTANCE: 4.5 – 5 miles (@ 2:30 hours) SURFACE: flat, some hills, dirt trails over sand, pine straw, eroded roots, etc.

DIFFICULTY RATING: Easy - moderate.
