Seeds of Faith
Building that foundation of holy curiosity for our littlest ones is important at Emmanuel! Beginning in our nursery and continuing through children’s and youth activities we strive to help kids ask the questions that will deepen their connection to God. All children’s classes meet on Sundays at 11:15 a.m. in the Parish House. If you are interested in helping with children’s ministries or would like to learn more click the button below.

This is great for getting kids that first glimpse into adult church. They begin with you in the pews, then are taken to children’s chapel right before the scripture readings. There they hear the weekly readings on a level that they can connect and are engaged in prayers and a craft. They return to the service at The Peace, right before communion.

Just inside our main church entrance, you will find a bench with pre-filled bags containing child-friendly items to keep little ones occupied during the service.

Perhaps your child would like a more active role in the service. Acolyting Acolyting for them! As an acolyte, children help lead the service carrying the cross and torches and helping at key moments. Acolyting is available for kids 2nd Grade and up!

The Cherub Choir, for grades K-2, and the Chorister Choir, for grades 3-8, allow the young singer to nurture their voice, learn the importance of music within the context of worship, foster leadership skills, and develop deep and meaningful friendships with other young Christians.
Kids in Church
At Emmanuel, we believe it is important for children to be in church! We know that bringing your little ones to church can be daunting, so we provide a range of opportunities to help both you and your child feel comfortable during worship.
