Come Spend the Day with Phyllis Tickle

Phyllis Tickle, founding editor of the Religion Department of Publishers Weekly, (until her retirement in 2004), and author, will be with us on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9-4:00 p.m. to discuss the phenomenon of the emergent church and how it applies to us as Episcopalians. A lay Eucharistic minister and Lector in the Episcopal Church, she is the mother of seven children and with her physician husband, makes her home on a small farm in Lucy, Tennessee.

Some of Phyllis' published titles are; The Great Emergence ~ How Christianity is Changing and Why, The Words of Jesus ~ A Gospel of Sayings of Our Lord. She is also the author of the notable and popular, The Divine Hours series of manuals for observing the fixed-hour prayer. She has just published a new video/workbook discussion series, Embracing Emergence Christianity ~ Phyllis Tickle on the Church's Next Rummage Sale.

There will be two discussion sessions, lunch and a book signing. The cost for the day including lunch will be $50.00.
