There are still receptacles for food items for the Coalition located in the hallway between the church and the Parish Hall foyer. Their need is always great!

February 11: Emmanuel’s Valentine’s Dinner & Dance "Love is in the Air” – It’s time again for our annual Valentine’s Dinner & Dance. Make plans to attend on Saturday, February 11th. The doors open at 6:00p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
This year we are changing things up a little! We will be providing the main dish of lasagna and as families make their reservations in the church office people/families will be assigned to bring a salad or dessert to share! Beer and wine will be available as well as non-alcoholic beverages.
Music selections will be played by our very own DJ Jason Davis...if you have a special Valentine song...bring it and he will work it into the evening's playlist!
We would LOVE to see all our long time church members as well as those that are new to the church! It will be a great night of fellowship!
Reservations can be made through the church office at 692-3171 during normal business hours.
This is a family event, but childcare will also be provided by Ms. Karen Wagner in the church nursery for $10 per child. Reservations for childcare are required by February 8th and can be made through the church office. We are also trying to coordinate a movie in the EDS common room for kids 6 years and up...more details to come! Looking forward to seeing you ALL there!

March 3: Come Spend the Day with Phyllis Tickle Phyllis Tickle, founding editor of the Religion Department of Publishers Weekly, (until her retirement in 2004), and author, will be with us on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9-4:00 p.m. to discuss the phenomenon of the emergent church and how it applies to us as Episcopalians. A lay Eucharistic minister and Lector in the Episcopal Church, she is the mother of seven children and with her physician husband, makes her home on a small farm in Lucy, Tennessee.
Some of Phyllis' published titles are; The Great Emergence ~ How Christianity is Changing and Why, The Words of Jesus ~ A Gospel of Sayings of Our Lord. She is also the author of the notable and popular, The Divine Hours series of manuals for observing the fixed-hour prayer. She has just published a new video/workbook discussion series, Embracing Emergence Christianity ~ Phyllis Tickle on the Church's Next Rummage Sale.
There will be two discussion sessions, lunch and a book signing. The cost for the day including lunch will be $50.00.
